Maartje kick-started her career in sales and marketing at de Librije***, then delved into pastry and gastronomy at Bijenkorf HQ conceptualising innovative food concepts and campaigns. After attending the Slow Food Youth Network (SFYN) Academy, she co-founded The Food Line-up in 2013, revolutionising event catering through sustainability. Leading the charge, she introduced groundbreaking concepts like Brasserie 2050 and DGTL’s Circular Foodcourt. The Food Line-up earned the first B-Corp certification for event caterers in Europe in 2020. Since 2021, Maartje has ventured into startups like Snack With Benefits and co-founded Plant FWD, driven by her commitment to sustainable impact in business.
