Marije Klever is chairman of Boer & Natuur, and a dairy farmer in De Meern, Utrecht. She studied Animal and Animal Husbandry at the former CAH in Dronten and the master's degree in Innovation and Rural Development in Wageningen. In 2017, Marije Klever took over the family farm with 100 dairy cows. She is a member of Collectief Lopikerwaard and she does what she can on her farm for the meadow birds, the farm has extensive operations and strives for a nature-inclusive way of dairy farming. Marije is incredibly motivated to work at Boer & Natuur. She feels most valuable when the 'paper' (policy) reality is correct and actually contributes to improvements in practice. She is a connecting person who works on the basis of content. She is convinced that the current challenges in agriculture, combined with the pressure on space, call for cooperation and combining functions.
